In the spring you may notice needles disappearing  on your ornamental pines.  Soon enough you will start to see larvae or as my wife calls them, the dancing worms.

Various types of Pine Sawfly larvae are a common spring problem that can be controlled with Horticultural Oil, a  safer method of pest control.

Click Here for an article put out by Pennsylvania State University that explains the various types of Pine Sawfly as well as the various types of control options.

Let's not be visited by the dancing worms this year.
